This is so exciting! Ok… let me calm down (deep breaths)

First of all, thank you for visiting my blog I really appreciate it. I tried to start a blog 7 years ago and wasn’t consistent with it at all. Imagine if I’d stuck with that! I’d be a blogging superstar by now! But I guess, nothing comes before it’s time. If you’ve been thinking about starting a blog take this as a sign to just do it!

I have always been writing my thoughts, feelings and observation about my life in diaries and journals since childhood; Now, I feel I should blog them to share my experiences and insights in a way that will help and inspire others who may be going through similar experiences. It’s a natural transition for me. A transition I intend to stick with this time.

What qualifies me to be giving advice? Well first of all you don’t have to take onboard any of my advice or suggestions, but my experiences qualifies me. We all have stories; and I have been through and overcome a lot in my life. I am quite resilient. And while that may be commendable, I understand that everyone is not built the same. I want to share my strengths, perspective and encourage others. I want them to read my blogs and know that they too can overcome and navigate through their challenges in a way that empowers them and restores their faith in Life. My intention is for whoever needs what I have to say, will find this blog and receive the information in a truly beneficial way.

So why The Compass Rose? Well the Rose is a universal symbol of love, beauty, connection, compassion, healing, commitment and much more. And the compass directs, guides and keeps us on track to our intended destination. It’s about being guided on our personal journeys through and to healing, connection, love, happiness, joy, fulfilment etc. I honestly didn’t know that the compass was actually called a Compass Rose! I was blown away when I made that small discovery and took it as I sign that the name was fitting for this blog.

So there you have it! I’ve been thinking about what type of blog this actually is; and I’m thinking It’s going to be a personal/advice blog centered around the challenges of life/relationships and whatever else comes up. I’m excited for the growth of my blog (and myself!) and I hope you’ll stick around on this journey with me. Seeya in another post!
